Fix Axle Boot Hole

Have a small hole in an axle boot? Fix it with a tire patch!

This repair method was recommended to me by a friend, and I was initially skeptical of the tire patch's ability to stay on the axle boot as the event was happening in 30-40 degree ambient temperatures!

To my surprise, the original tire patch made it through two days of track time without any signs of peeling off:

Repair procedure is very simple. I cleaned up the grease around the tiny hole with paper towels, not using any cleaners or solvents as they may have gotten inside the boot. Then I stuck the tire patch on the boot.

New boots will be installed over winter, but this patch stopped loss of grease and permitted me to finish the year strong.
